Why Sign In?
Signing in to FellowBIS is completely optional. The majority of the features here work perfectly without an account, and that will always be my philosophy; Any feature that can work great without a user account will be available without a user account. If you don't want to sign up, you truly don't have to!
However, some features do require an account as that's the only way to make them work. This page will serve as a guide to the features that require an account and why you might want to sign in.
Benefits of a FellowBIS Account
Sync Your Hero Data Across Devices
Your hero data (the same information currently saved in your browser) will be stored securely in your account. This means you can access your gear configurations, stat priorities, and settings from any device - your phone, tablet, or another computer. No more manually keeping things in sync!
Enhanced LFG (Looking For Group) Features
The LFG tool helps you find people to group with—you connect and coordinate with them yourself. It works without signing in, but signing in with Discord unlocks:
- Discord DM Notifications: Get instant notifications in Discord when we find people who match your criteria (also requires joining the FellowBIS Discord server)
Without signing in, you can still use LFG to browse and find people, but you'll need to check back manually.
Getting Started
Signing in is quick and easy - we use Discord OAuth, so you can sign in with your existing Discord account. No new passwords to remember!
Privacy & Data
We only store the data necessary to provide these features. Your Discord information is used solely for authentication, and your hero data is stored securely and privately in your account. We never share your data with third parties.
